About

Nathalie Robbins
Nathalie Robbins is a seasoned textile designer, fiber artist, and visual arts educator whose creative journey spans over three decades. With a deep-rooted passion for color, texture, and form, she has built a successful career designing and licensing textile patterns for major mass-market brands. Her work blends bold artistic vision with commercial sensibility, establishing her as a respected voice in the world of surface pattern design.
For many years, Nathalie led her own print design studio, art directing and representing a roster of international designers. After closing the studio to pursue more tactile and personal forms of expression, she discovered a new direction through punch needle rug-making—a medium that captivated her with its sculptural and painterly potential.
Drawing from her archive of small, vibrant sketches, Nathalie translates abstract compositions into richly textured fiber works. Her pieces, ranging from wall art to rugs, explore layered piles, bold forms, and dimensional surfaces, creating work that is both playful and deeply grounded in material exploration.
